Drone Company's Ad Is Ridiculous

Don't get me wrong.
I like drones (until they become sentient and starting hunting us all down).
I am a proud owner of one myself, but this ad by drone maker DJI is utterly ridiculous.
(I don't own a DJI one by the way).

And it's ridiculous because it doesn't take into account:

1) the noise drones make (no wonder these fantastic drone shot videos you find on Youtube are always dubbed with music),
2) their mass,
3) the danger from the rotating blades if you get too close, and
4) the maneuverability in a closed space (the lack thereof, as it is pretty limited unless you're a super expert).

Here's a more realistic version:

And here's the last portion of the realistic version.
It is well worth enjoying on its own.

This'll Increase Your Appetite

After stumbling upon this rather satisfying ad by Marks & Spencer:

I found these four equally satisfying ads made by the same people, this time for French coffee company Carte Noire.

Enjoy!

JAUNE (Yellow)

ROUGE (Red)

VERT (Green)

ROSE (Pink)

I believe the term for this is food p*rn.

First Moon Party

This video has reached 11million+ views in just four days and justifiably so.
It's hilarious.

High quality acting, high quality production right there.
Going viral? They're doing it right.

Best Used Car Ad Ever

Now, this is how you sell your car (if you have the necessary skills of course).

From the maker of the video:

"The time has come for me to sell my beloved 1996 Maxima, a faithful car that now has to go. Of course, I can't send it off without a proper goodbye. So in my spare time I decided to make this little ditty. Because marketing."

And in the end he succeeded. The car went back home to Nissan.

A Unique Truck Ad

The following commercial by Volvo, featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme, was posted on Youtube about a month ago and it soon went viral.

From the "about" section of the video:

"This live test was set up to demonstrate the precision and directional stability of Volvo Dynamic Steering -- a world first technology that makes the new Volvo FM easier to drive.

Filmed in Spain on a closed-off landing field at sunrise in one take."

In one take... IN ONE TAKE? Are you kidding me?
And surely there must have been some safety equipment. A net? A rope?
I can't believe the 53-year old (although he looks older in this in my opinion) Jean-Claude Van Damme would do this type of split without making sure that all necessary safety precautions had been taken. Even at these speeds, a fall would have been nasty.

In any case, never one to be outdone, Chuck Norris (or maybe "Chuck Norris") chose to use his annual Christmas message to respond to Jean-Claude Van Damme's provocation.

I wonder how long it will take the real Chuck Norris to claim copyright infringement...

Mia's Brilliant Stanley Steemer Variations

So, in case you didn't know (I certainly didn't before this), "Stanley Steemer" is a US carpet (and general home surface) cleaning company which uses a characteristic jingle in its advertisements (see below at 0:25).

In the following very cool and entertaining video, Youtube user Mia Gentile performs the Stanley Steemer jingle in a wide array of musical and dance variations. At 1:20-1:34 my personal favorite (with 1:08 to 1:19 a close second).

Dove Real Beauty Ad Parodied

Dove has done it again.
They've produced another truly stupid ad which just begs to be parodied.

Here is the original.

And here are two of the best parodies.

Dove Real Beauty - Men

Dove Real Beauty - Balls

(probably NSFW because... balls)

Bodyform Viral Ad

Bodyform, a UK-based company specializing in feminine hygiene products, received the following comment on its Facebook page by user Richard Neill:

"Hi , as a man I must ask why you have lied to us for all these years . As a child I watched your advertisements with interest as to how at this wonderful time of the month that the female gets to enjoy so many things ,I felt a little jealous. I mean bike riding , rollercoasters, dancing, parachuting, why couldn't I get to enjoy this time of joy and 'blue water' and wings !! Dam my penis!! Then I got a girlfriend, was so happy and couldn't wait for this joyous adventurous time of the month to happen .....you lied !! There was no joy , no extreme sports , no blue water spilling over wings and no rocking soundtrack oh no no no. Instead I had to fight against every male urge I had to resist screaming wooaaahhhhh bodddyyyyyyfooorrrmmm bodyformed for youuuuuuu as my lady changed from the loving , gentle, normal skin coloured lady to the little girl from the exorcist with added venom and extra 360 degree head spin. Thanks for setting me up for a fall bodyform , you crafty bugger"

Bodyform didn't let the opportunity pass them by and responded in a classically British sarcastic style.

Well played Bodyform. Well played.

Reminds me of this joke...

The Health Benefits of Squat Toilets

Mind. Blown.

OK, it may be a well-camouflaged advertisement, but still, the message seems legit.
