Collective Soul Cat Fan

I've been away long, and all I have to show for it is this cat video.

Enjoy!

Russian Soldier Rescues Cat... But Barely...

This video is apparently a classic in Russia.

It occurred in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod in 2001, where a cat named Barsik got stuck on a tree. In stepped soldier Igor Novikov to perform the rescue.

I recommend turning the closed captions (cc button) on in this one, so that you can understand what is being said (although what is happening in the video can be followed without them too).

The cat was probably trying to avoid him in the first place...

Cats and Dogs #2

Because... you know... the internet loves its cats and dogs.

Cat vs DVD drive

For last, I've left an experiment that was done to compare cat vs dog attachment to their owners.

Cat owners explain this as cats being more independent than dogs.
I just see cats that view their owners as food dispensers.

Cat Overestimates Its Abilities

Music is "Sail" by AWOLNATION.

This looks like Japan (and indeed, the original cat video appears to be Japanese, where, by the way, it says in the video info that the cat was unhurt following its... predicament).

It would have been even funnier if it had said "Fail" at the right moment.

One Bowl & Two Cats

I'm sure I've seen this as a cartoon somewhere.

I originally named this post "Two Cats, One Bowl" thinking it was really smart and funny.

Then I googled it and found that about a gazillion other people had thought of it before me (and for the same video!).

Arrrgh!
