Key & Peele Nail Aerobic Vid Spoof

I can't let August pass without a post.

First of all, is aerobics still a thing?

In any case, this video from the 1988 USA National Aerobic Championship is utterly ridiculous.
It's so 80s it hurts. The music, the attire, the hairstyles, the TV presentation, the constant smiles.

Yap. Cocaine's one hell of a drug!

And here's Key & Peele's take on the subject.
Brilliant. Just brilliant.

Now I can't get that music out my head! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

IKEA Heights

IKEA Heights was a soap opera shot inside an IKEA store without IKEA's permission.

Only seven episodes were made (about four years ago), as after a few episodes IKEA caught wind of it (apparently through the press) and the actors' photos were circulated in the IKEA security room.

It was a truly novel idea featuring (intentionally) corny dialogue and (intentional) bad acting.
The random IKEA customers passing through, wondering what the heck is going on, are perhaps what made it even funnier.

Here's episode 1:

The remaining six episodes can be found on the Ikea Heights Vimeo channel.

What Does the Fox Say?

I know this is old for many out there (it came out early September), but I discovered it just yesterday. 288 million views and still going (Gangnam Style, by the way, has reached 1.85 billion).

I kinda like it actually. Catchy tune.

Thankfully, it doesn't take itself seriously.
It is by Ylvis, a Norwegian comedic duo (they are in fact brothers) and is intended as a critique/parody of contemporary club/pop music.

Agreed. Change the lyrics and this could have easily been a hit by Pitbull or Katy Perry.

Football, Football, And Even More Football

From the British comedy series "That Mitchell and Webb Look".

Truth is, here in Europe, football practically never stops (see Champions League and Europa League qualifying rounds during the summer).

Which is fine by me.

A Pill That Lowers IQ

"Did you ever notice how many stupid people surround you?
If you didn't, then you might be one of them, in which case you can turn off this video and carry on with your life."

"Idiots and morons are the majority of the world's population. They're not suddenly going to get smarter or start acting reasonably. It's YOU who'll have to change".

"Life is easier and a much happier place when you're dumb".

I'll stop here and let you watch the rest.

So many truths in this video. I'm tempted, but no thanks. I'll carry this burden till the end.

Dora the Explorer and the Destiny Medallion

In the summer of 2012, Collegehumor made a spoof trailer for a live action movie featuring Dora the Explorer titled "Dora the Explorer: the Search for the Infinity Orb".

The trailer was so well-received, that viewers asked for a full length movie.
So, Collegehumor created a three part live action movie (which... isn't based on the trailer) titled: "Dora the Explorer and the Destiny Medallion".

Here it is.

American Employee Caught Outsourcing His Job To China

According to the article at thenextweb.com:

A developer at a US-based critical infrastructure company, referred to as "Bob", was caught last year outsourcing his work to China, paying someone else less than one fifth of his six-figure salary to do his job. As a result, Bob had a lot of time on his hands; in fact, during the investigation, his browsing history revealed this was his typical work day:

  • 9:00 a.m. – Arrive and surf Reddit for a couple of hours. Watch cat videos.
  • 11:30 a.m. – Take lunch.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Ebay time.
  • 2:00 – ish p.m Facebook updates – LinkedIn.
  • 4:30 p.m. – End of day update e-mail to management.
  • 5:00 p.m. – Go home.

And the question is, what was he doing wasting his time on LinkedIn?
He had a six-figure salary at a job where he did almost nothing else all day, but surf the internet.
Was he seriously looking for something better than that?!

In any case, instead of cat videos, the guy should have watched a few of the Onion News Network videos. It would have been time well spent and that is because here we have a case of life imitating... internet comedy.

As you'll see below, the Onion News Network had "reported" on a similar a situation nearly four years ago.

Official (TV Series) Spoiler Rules

Stars from (as of November 2012) recently ended (Heroes, Battlestar Galactica) or still airing TV series (Dexter, Walkind Dead) explain the newly defined official spoiler rules.

Yap, you definitely don't play with these things.

Boy, does that Nelsan Ellis guy look bored in this or what?
Seriously dude. Sorry to wake you up for this... 10 minute shooting!

Yes, I remember watching this as child.
John Stockton's acting talent truly filled the screen.
